Oral oncology medications have been stifled by high copays for cancer patients. After a hard battle fought by numerous patient organizations and partners the Oral Oncology Parity Act has passed and new legislation will take effect August 1, 2015. North Dakota became the 38th state with the District of Columbia to enact such legislation.

Busy week! Dr.
Warne presented yesterday at Harvard School of Public Health on American Indian
Health Policy. Today he is in Atlanta
for the American Cancer Society Board of Directors meeting, and tomorrow he
meets with South Dakota Governor Dennis Dugaard in Pierre, SD to present the
results of the South Dakota Health Survey.
Dr. Warne is the Co-Principal Investigator for the SDHS!

"Doctors Back to School" campaign
Dr. Warne with kids from an inner city elementary
school in Washington DC as part of the "Doctors Back to School"
campaign sponsored by the American Medical Association. Dr. Warne is the Association of American
Indian Physicians representative to the AMA and is in Washington DC this week
for several events and conferences.
