2013 Red River Valley Heart Walk

The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases, the Nation's No.1 and No.4 killers, claim more than 813,804 American lives a year. Thanks to all our walkers, donors and volunteers who have accepted the challenge to help fight heart disease and stroke. We cannot achieve our mission without each one of you!
The Red River Valley Heart Walk is scheduled for Saturday April 20 from 9am – noon, and I am the Co-Chair for the event this year.

To get involved:
·         Join the NDSU Master of Public Health team to be a walker and donate and raise funds (even $5 would be helpful!).  You can join the team at:
www.redrivervalleyheartwalk.org (Look under team name "NDSU")

·         On the left column of the webpage, there is a “find a team” link.  You can join the Master of Public Health, NDSU team (I am the team captain).

·    Please encourage your co-workers, family members, and other students to participate.

Prizes are available for each individual that raises funds—starting at $100.  We're currently at a quarter of our team goal of $1,000. The info is on the website.

Plan to wear your NDSU green and gold clothing!
